Fouché was launched in 2014 by Claire Fouché, former couture jewellery designer for Fabergé; born out of a love of artistry, storytelling and craftsmanship.
The collection is ethically created from natural materials by highly skilled artisans in Africa and Europe. We work with sustainably sourced natural materials, precious metals and gemstones.
Fouché provides ongoing fair-trade employment to skilled artisans in Nairobi and Kibera, Africa's largest slum. In 2012 Claire co-founded the Maisha Foundation to support young talent from Kibera in skills training programmes.
The Fouché aesthetic draws on art déco architecture built by Italians in Africa to African art; to the textiles that first inspired Picasso’s ‘African Period’ in 1920s Paris.
Fouché jewellery is coveted by inspirational women around the world, including Sienna Miller and Lucinda Chambers, and has featured in British, French & Brazilian Vogue, amongst other leading publications.
